- Job Summary
The SA M & E Officer under the general directives and strategic directions of the project will be responsible for monitoring and giving supportive supervision the day – to- day operation of the project, giving feedbacks to wereda project coordinators and follow up the project work.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and support for monitoring and evaluation and knowledge management of the project,
- Ensure timely and complete reporting from the woreda level to the lead organization project coordinator (head office),
- Monitor and evaluate progress towards annual work plans, expected outputs, including selecting and monitoring progress in meeting indicators,
- Assist the project coordinator in the preparation of work plans, refining of the logical frame work, selection of indicators and annual implementation plans with a view towards the project’s M & E requirements,
- Coordinate the preparation of quarterly progress reports, annual project report and success stories for the social accountability program,
- Collect data for annual M & E plan and use those data to improve project performance,
- Develop a detailed annual work plan to build technical and managerial capacity of its sub partner(s).
- Support and review the project plan. Agree on project performance indicators, methods of information collection and storage, monitoring timeframes and roles/ responsibilities,
- Capacity building of the project team in practices and processes for documentation,
III. Job Requirements
Qualifications and requirements:
- College education in Sociology, Education, and related fields with more than two years relevant experience or relevant experience in social accountability project implementation and evaluation of development projects
- Excellent documentation skills
- Negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent written communications and experience of producing high quality reports
- Up-to-date knowledge and experience of data analysis techniques/packages
- Strong organizational and project management skills, and ability to deliver within tight deadlines
- Information Technology skills required
Excellent knowledge of spoken & written Amharic English
